The American election system may have avoided a meltdown during the 2008 election, but issues did arise that preventing a completely smooth Election Day. In this report, Common Cause’s Tova Wang explores several such concerns (including long lines and deceptive practices) and makes recommendation on how to prevent them from happening in the future.
