MyVote1 National Election Report: Voice of the Electorate 2006 (PDF)

A new report on the 2006 election from the University of Pennsylvania may prove useful as states prepare for this November’s elections, as well as next year’s presidential primaries. The highlights of the analysis, which relies on data from a national hotline, include a dramatic increase in the number of voting machine complaints since 2004 and that difficulties with registration remain a major issue for voters.

Evaluating On-line Training | DECEMBER 2009

A pilot study examined the effectiveness of combining in-person training with on-line educational tools. Those who participated in on-line training performed better, were more confident in their work, and knew the specifics of their job better than those who had not participated in on-line training.

2008 Election Data Collection Grant Program Evaluation Report (PDF) | JUNE 2009

U.S. Election Assistance Commission

This report provides the results from an evaluation of five projects to improve election data collection in 2008. Overall, the grantees increased their level of core data collection, improving to 80 percent of the core data from less than half in 2006.
