Representational Bias in the 2008 Electorate
Although ethnic diversity of the United States has been increasing in recent years, voter registrations have not followed this trend. Project Vote finds that although the voting population in the 2008 elections continues to be unrepresentative of the American population at large, the 2008 voting population was more diverse than in years past.

The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals issued its decision regarding the state of Washington’s law prohibiting the right to vote for felons. The court’s decision, that the law violated civil rights protections, conflicts with three other federal appeals court decisions.
